A promise by the NSW Liberal and Nationals Opposition to guarantee that at least 25 per cent of state infrastructure spending goes to regional areas has been welcomed by Federal Member for Parkes Jamie Chaffey, who says communities across western New South Wales have been overlooked for too long.
The proposed Regional Infrastructure Guarantee would require a future Liberal and Nationals Government to direct a quarter of all infrastructure investment to regional NSW, covering projects such as hospitals, schools, water infrastructure, roads, rail and bridges.
