Police were called to a home on Dubbo Street on Tuesday 12 May with reports of an assault to a 51 year-old-man.
Around 4am officers attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District attended the Coonamble unit.
They reportedly found the man with a laceration to his face, a shoulder injury, and abrasions.
Allegedly, officers were told the man had reportedly awoken to two unknown males assaulting him with a taser and a knife, before they fled the scene.
