Walgett’s Anne Dennis has been recognised among Australia’s most respected community leaders, receiving appointment as a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in the General Division for significant service to the Indigenous community of New South Wales.
The honour acknowledges more than four decades of dedicated advocacy, leadership and commitment to improving outcomes for Aboriginal people across rural and remote communities.
