National Domestic Violence Remembrance Day is being observed this week across Australia, commemorating the lives tragically and unjustly lost to domestic and family violence.
In Coonamble, the local office of Mission Australia is hosting a community BBQ from midday Wednesday 6 May in the main street, inviting residents to come together, reflect, and raise awareness about the ongoing impact of domestic violence in regional communities.
Across the country, vigils and remembrance events are being held to honour victims and support those affected, while also drawing attention to the urgent need for prevention and early intervention . . .
