COONAMBLE student Dekoda Jackson received a surprise gift of a collection of books while walking down the main street last week.
Miss Jackson was one of several people approached by Luke Mitchell of Books for the Outback while he was passing through Coonamble on Thursday 16 June.
Books for the Outback has been a passion project for Mr Mitchell, a pensioner who used to live in Coonabarabran, for the last few years.
