Long time local Stephen Rae [above] has called on Coonamble Shire council to prioritise upgrades to the Gulargambone Quambone Road, describing the route as unsafe and, at times, impassable.
Addressing the Community Forum ahead of Council’s meeting on Wednesday 8 July, Mr Rae said the 42-kilometre unsealed section of the road that links Gulargambone and Quambone, had seen little improvement since 1983.
“It has not improved in 47 years,” Mr Rae said.
