For over 130 years the Cobar Town Hall has stood pride of place at the centre of town, but at Cobar Shire Council’s July meeting last Thursday it was voted to place the building and adjacent car park up for sale.
The building constructed by esteemed local builder Hugh Sutherland in 1893, has been a place where memories were made over the years with dances, concerts, theatre productions, school performances, film screenings and civic events taking place.
