Coonamble Shire Council and the wider community acknowledge with sadness the passing of former Shire Clerk and General Manager, Adrian Gordon Hanrahan OAM.
Adrian, together with his wife Maria and children Cathy, Therese and Gerard, moved to Coonamble in 1984 when he commenced with Council as Deputy Shire Clerk.
In 1988 he was appointed Shire Clerk, later becoming General Manager, a role he held until 2000 before relocating to Young.
During his sixteen years in Coonamble, Adrian played a significant role in the growth and development of the Shire.
