Coonamble’s electric vehicle charging network could soon expand with several local sites nominated as part of the NSW Government’s latest fast charging grants program.
The rollout forms part of the NSW Government’s Electric Vehicle Strategy, which aims to address charging blackspots in remote and regional areas and ensure EV drivers are never too far from a fast charger.
Speaking at the May 13 council meeting, Coonamble Shire Council Economic Development Manager Lee O’Connor explained how the current funding round works.
