The Coonamble Rams and Walgett Rams first grade sides met for their first match-up of the season on Saturday 2 May in Walgett.
It was a gruelling game from the get go, with Walgett coming out hard and fast, opening the scoring with tries to Lachie Holz and Patrick O’Brien on the wings.
Both went unconverted.
Coonamble responded with a forceful attack down the centre, resulting in a try to Alex Bernheim which was also unconverted.
