Rain, hail or shine, the Coonamble Show goes on.
After last year’s cancellation due to a clash with the Rodeo and Campdraft, the annual Coonamble Show returned on May 26 and 27, with locals braving wet conditions to support one of the town’s biggest community events.
While persistent rain forced the cancellation of horse, sheep and cattle competitions, organisers were pleasantly surprised by the strong turnout across the two-day event.
Coonamble Show Society president Brendan O’Connor said the weather presented challenges, but it didn’t dampen community spirit.
