Country Mayors say Budget a slap in the face

Speak to any Mayor across the region and they all report the same issue; lack of Government funding and this week’s Budget has only added to the pain.

Country Mayors Association Chairman Mayor Rick Firman OAM says the release of the 2026 budget has provided Local Government in regional, rural and remote areas with food for thought, and it’s not all good.
