Crossing honours a Baradine legend

07/07/2026 by The Coonamble Times

The Donald Magann Crossing is more than a vital piece of infrastructure for Baradine; it is a bridge to the future and a tribute to the past.

For generations, floodwaters on the Baradine Road could leave the town isolated from neighbouring communities, but the construction of the Donald Magann Crossing has changed that forever.

Named in honour of respected local identity and long-time resident Donald Charles Magann, the new flood-free crossing stands as a tribute to a man whose name is woven into the history of the district.
