PHOTO: The outdated lighting at Coonamble Sportsground will be replaced if Council’s $1million application under Round 2 of the Drought Communities Program is successful.
The latest allocation of funding under the federal government's Drought Communities Program has been earmarked for a major make-over of Coonamble's town oval.
The additional $1 million was announced in late November 2019 and at their December meeting, Coonamble Shire Councillors voted to focus on improving the town's main sporting facility.
Council staff lodged the application for funding before Christmas . . .
