As last year's harvest finally begins wrapping up, local farmers are looking towards the horizon and preparing their paddocks for the coming season.
However, escalation in prices on key inputs, in some instances as much as 102% up from this time in 2020 such as agri-chemicals (in particular Roundup), fertiliser and fuel, is hitting farmers particularly hard this year.
According to one regional chemical reseller prices for agricultural chemicals such as the popular weedkiller 'Roundup', have gone through the roof in recent history.
