Shearing Camp
Three students, Bailey, Jaylem & Tully participated in a Department of Education Regional Industry Educational Partnership Shearing Course over 3 days last week.
They enjoyed learning hands on skills in shearing, crutching, wool classing, wool handling and all other aspects of maintaining equipment for a day’s shearing.

A very big thank you to Troy Kelly from the department for organising this training school and Wayne Hosie and Penny from AWI for instructing the students over the 3 days, Missy & Mr Burge for organising from the school end, also a very appreciative thank you to Phil and Annie Haling for allowing us the use of their shearing shed and to Tim Spora for supplying the sheep.
Your support is greatly appreciated.

Dolly Day
On Friday 13th May the SRC encouraged all students to come to school wearing blue clothes to participate in “Do It For Dolly Day”.
The day is dedicated to bringing the community together, spreading kindness and uniting in taking a stand against bullying.
A total of $85 was raised from the day.
Welcome Miss Anna Robson
This week we welcome Miss Anna Robson to our school.
Miss Robson will be replacing Mr Burge as Head Teacher Secondary Studies and teaching Visual Art and HSIE.
I am sure that Miss Robson will fit in well with our staff and students and the overall atmosphere of our school.
Sadly, we say farewell to Mr Burge for the foreseeable future as he heads off to work at Gunnedah as the Deputy Principal.
Mr Burge has made a fantastic contribution to our school whilst being with us, using every opportunity possible to broaden students’ horizons and showing them the endless possibilities for a rewarding life after school.
I know that our secondary students are genuinely grateful for the dedication and personal support that he has been to everyone.
