Local teenagers took over the Council Chambers last week and got down to the business of improving the town.
In celebration of Local Government Week (3-9 August), Coonamble Shire Council hosted a mock council meeting with a group of students from Coonamble High school on Thursday 6 August.
Tracy Henderson, Teacher Librarian at Coonamble High School, walked six students down to the council chambers, four from year 7 and two from year eight, where they met Amanda Daniels and Azita Siobhani who were conducting the meeting scenario.
