Although Dirk Jol refers to himself as 'a bit of a dinosaur', having been in local government for 32 years, he is not one to avoid stepping out of his comfort zone.
In late 2021 he and his wife Janine opted for a tree change, heading north west from their previous home base in Goulburn to the open plains of Coonamble.
