Herny Evans is one of the freshest faces manning the front desk at Coonamble Shire Council’s main office.
The 29-year-old arrived in the shire around the end of June from the southern Queensland border town of Goondiwindi.
He’s visited before to see his mother Cath Evans, who he said has lived locally on and off for about eight years.
However, it’s Herny’s first proper stay in Coonamble.
