Coonamble-ites are now waking up to one of their own on the airwaves after Kim Goldsmith was selected as the breakfast host of ABC Western Plains.
The journalist and creative professional "survived" an hour-long test in the presenter seat in late August before she was asked to warm it permanently.
"I'm not sure what it was like to listen to, but I survived," she said.
The last time she worked as a breakfast presenter was the early to mid-1990s, before digital audio became common and she was cutting strips . . .
