A group of Warren parents have launched an urgent community effort to save the town’s only long day care service, following confirmation that the current approved provider was closing the centre on June 30.
The critical service, which caters for children aged 0–5, employs 11 local staff and supports more than 40 families.
With less than two months before an impending closure, the group of parents have formed a committee and are confident the service can be saved. But they are calling on the wider community, Warren Shire Council, the Department of Education, and government representatives to help keep the doors open…
