The warning about mice numbers comes after last week's release of research outlining the significant psychosocial impacts of the 2021-2021 plague, which left lasting impacts on many people around Coonamble.
Veterinarian Dr Jillian Kelly, says she was "not surprised by the research findings."
"The mouse plague was just awful, however I am pleased to see the effects recognised in formal research.
"I think the cumulative effect of years of drought, followed by a mouse plague made it all the worse."
