Farmers across the state could help reopen flood-affected roads sooner as Transport for NSW moves to expand the use of local knowledge and equipment for repairs.
Eligible landholders will be able to apply to become registered Transport for NSW contractors, capable of repairing and reopening flood-damaged roads.
