The Australian wool market continued its upward trend this week, with the Eastern Market Indicator (EMI) closing at 1,979 cents.
Fremantle returned to the roster, lifting the national offering to 25,662 bales – the smallest three centre offering since 2020.
The market opened strongly, with Merino fleece Micron Price Guide movements ranging from unchanged to plus 65 cents.
The EMI gained 15 cents across the week, reaching its highest point since October 2018 and sitting just 22 cents shy of the 2,000 cent mark.
