The recent tragedies where two young local men ended their own lives has sent health professionals and other community agencies searching for ways to connect Coonamble district residents with critical sources of help.
"There had been no presentations to hospital for mental health, but since then we have seen a real spike in the number of people seeking help," Dr Justine Thomson from Coonamble’s Ochre Health Service told the Coonamble Times.“We already have a weekly doctor’s meeting with nurses and other staff,” she said . . .
