A new heritage trail is encouraging travellers to linger longer in Burren Junction through a series of installations highlighting the town’s history.
The Burren Junction Historic Bicycles Walk features 29 heritage sites marked by brightly painted bicycles, interpretive signs and QR codes.
Each stop tells a part of the town’s story, from the arrival of the railway in 1902 and its early sheep industry to the construction of grain silos, the growth of wheat and cotton production and the famous artesian bore baths that continue to attract visitors today…
