A critical incident investigation has been declared after the death of a man in the state’s north.
Just before 8pm yesterday (Monday 4 May 2026), police were called to a property on Wimbledon Road, Walgett, following reports of a concern for welfare for a 59-year-old man.
Officers from Central North Police District conducted patrols of the property and a man was seen driving off towards the Castlereagh Highway.
