Mayors from Bourke, Brewarrina, Walgett and Coonamble have welcomed a visit by NSW Premier Chris Minns last week as a positive sign for future youth initiatives in the region.
Mr Minns travelled without the usual media entourage on Thursday 16 July and made a couple of stops in Bourke, before heading to the Yetta Dhinnakkal site at Gongolgon.
He was joined there by MP for Barwon Roy Butler and RDA Orana CEO Justine Campbell for discussions with local and regional stakeholders to talk further about ways to divert the region’s most vulnerable young people . . .
