Coonamble Rodeo has wrapped a highly successful long weekend, with record numbers of competitors and spectators cementing its place as one of the biggest events on the region’s calendar.
Now in its 71st year, the iconic event attracted more competitors, more campers and more spectators than ever before, prompting organisers to consider expanding the rodeo to four days in the future.
Committee member Steven Butler said planning for the 2027 event had already begun, with organisers exploring ways to accommodate its growing popularity.
