The Coonamble Bears Reserve Grade team faced a tough challenge over the weekend, travelling to Cobar to take on the Roosters with a depleted lineup due to injuries or prior commitments for a few key players.
Despite this, the Bears took the field determined to compete.
However, a high error rate from the visitors allowed Cobar to capitalise early and take control of the match.
The Roosters crossed for three tries in the first half before Coonamble responded, trailing 16-6.
