Local Indigenous artists continue to blaze a trail on the national art scene, hoping to inspire others to take their creativity to the world.
In the Northern Territory last week for the Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair which ran from 6 to 9 August, ceramicist Kevin (Sooty) Welsh came home with a coveted Highly Commended Award at the Telstra National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Awards (NATSIAA) on Friday 7 August.
