A structural engineer has found both the Coonamble Museum and the adjoining stables are safe to use, despite concerns about leaning walls and ongoing drainage issues.
Coonamble Shire Council Economic Development Manager Lee O'Connor provided an update on the inspection at the council meeting on 17 June.
"In terms of the museum and the stables they are both safe to use," Mrs O'Connor said.
She explained that while some of the walls are not perfectly vertical, the engineer was confident this did not mean the buildings were unstable.
