The Coonamble Poultry Club traces its roots back to 4 October 1899 when it was originally formed as the Coonamble Poultry and Horticultural Club.
Since the re-formation in 1962 of the Poultry Club, has seen a great revival of interest in the poultry section of the Coonamble Show.
Coonamble’s Rev. Reeder, a breeder of exotic birds, was the first president.
