People in the Coonamble area are being encouraged to consider a hands on career close to home in the energy industry, with the local depot currently recruiting for two apprentice powerline workers as part of Essential Energy’s 2027 Apprentice Program. One of these apprenticeships is a First Nations identified position.
Applications are now open for the program, which offers opportunities for future powerline workers, cable jointers, zone substation technicians and fleet mechanics across regional, rural and remote New South Wales.
