It’s been a hectic couple of weeks for the new operators of Gulargambone’s only café.

Two Eight Two Eight café in Gulargambone reopened their doors on Thursday 16 July after being empty for around six months.

Young couple Douglas Fernando and Jade Swan have taken over the lease at the community-owned building, hoping to provide Gular with a hub where members of the local community, visitors and passersby can gather.

“It’s something for a little town, to keep it alive,” Jade said.
