Regional NSW is ahead of the pack on rooftop solar, with the Barwon region topping the charts statewide.
Over 24,500 houses and businesses in the region have solar panels.
"From the Far West to the Northern Rivers, regional NSW is leading the charge on rooftop solar," says Minister for Energy Penny Sharpe.
"More than 1 million homes and businesses now have rooftop solar – a third of all NSW homes."
Based on postcodes, the data shows 893 businesses and homes in Coonamble and 236 in Gulargambone now have rooftop solar.
