At its meeting on 16 July, Warrumbungle Shire Council considered the implications of the draft Voluntary Planning Agreement (VPA) for the massive Liverpool Range Wind Farm, in the light of community feedback.
Given its large size and scope – 185 wind turbines producing power for 200,000 homes – the project was declared as a State Significant Development in 2018 and has since been approved by the Department of Planning and Environment.
