PHOTO: A 25-year-old Bourke man has been refused bail and will face Dubbo Bail Court today (Sunday 22 January 2023)
Officers from Central North Police District were patrolling the Mitchell Highway about 6pm (Saturday 21 January 2023), when they directed the driver of a ute to stop; the driver allegedly failed to comply, a pursuit was initiated.
The ute was pursued into the township of Bourke where it became bogged on vacant land in Culgoa Street.
The driver allegedly ran from the ute and was chased through yards to Yanda Street where he was arrested and taken to Bourke Police Station…
