• PHOTO: General Manager of Coonamble Shire Council, Hein Basson, has resigned from the role effective immediately.
An extraordinary meeting of Coonamble Shire Council last week saw councillors accept the resignation of General Manager Hein Basson.
Mayor Tim Horan brought the letter of resignation to the meeting, which was held at 5pm on Friday 1 April and conducted mostly in closed session due to the sensitive nature of the business at hand.
Councillors Karanouh and Lees were not at the meeting.
