• PHOTO: Why did the pussum cross the road? No one knows but it made for an interesting Thursday morning.
It made a nice change from the pigeons to see a possum make its way up the main street last Thursday 14 April.
The creature was first spotted on the footpath under the Sons of the Soil Hotel verandah - and it did look a little the worse for wear so could even have been sampling some leftovers in the cellar.
