LET’S look at how the winter cropping program is progressing.
From recent calculations it looks like about 30% of the district has been sown so far this winter, most of this occurred prior to Anzac Day.
Then with continual rainfall it can be estimated that perhaps a third of this has been lost due to waterlogging.
In the end this means that perhaps 15 to 20% of the district has a viable crop successfully planted and established.
