THE CWA Hall in Coonamble is normally a venue for cups of tea and talking but on Saturday 20 August it was action all round as Mission Australia hosted a self defence event Strong like a Girl.
"The Strong like a girl self-defence classes, led by Kym Housden, were designed to empower women, both young and adult," said Mission Australia representative Tara Naden.
"This is the first event of its kind that we have hosted."
