When did you live in the district? Why were you here?I was born in Wollongong on 9 December 1928 and soon returned to live with my family out at Gleneda, the family property at Come-by-Chance. My mother returned to Wollongong to give birth to me.
She was originally from Wollongong and caught the mail train (and horse and sulky) up to Come by Chance to be a governess there.
When she and my father were first married they lived in the Pilliga Scrub then they moved to Gleneda.
