COONAMBLE’S own Father Garry McKeown celebrated his 50 year anniversary of priesthood on Thursday, 1 September.
Garry is the eldest son of George and Pat McKeown and with sister Merrilyn and brother Michael the family lived first at ‘Morningside’ Combara before moving to the property ‘Karoo’ on the Tooraweenah Road when Garry was around seven years old.
Garry attended St Bernards School (now St Brigids) in Coonamble before heading . . .
