As of Monday 19 September the sun is out and the feed is growing.
It only takes a few millimetres to make the country wet again and with more rain predicted this Wednesday it’s going to take the country a fair while to dry out.
The upside of a wet season is that it’s kept the cattle prices very strong.
Fat cattle seem to be going up every week and in normal times the market usually gets a bit cheaper around September when the spring flush hits.
