A COUPLE of major milestones for the Gulargambone Rural Transaction Centre (GRTC) slipped by without fanfare during the pandemic as first the organisation and then their manager marked their 20th anniversary.
Gulargambone shot to national fame at the turn of the century and showed the shape of things to come when local residents banded together to purchase and operate the first community-owned post office in Australia.
