Experts say the increased groundwater and flooding rivers have pushed snakes away from their natural habitats and forcing them to search for new areas - often leaving them with no choice but to find refuge in backyards, sheds and even homes.
Snakes are also amidst their breeding season - creating a perfect storm for snake-friendly conditions.
