EMI loses 32 centsThe positive movements and buoyant tone experienced during last week’s sales has been short lived, with the AWEX Eastern Market Indicator (EMI) losing 32 cents for the week to close at 1,224c/kg its lowest point since January 2021.
Buyer sentiment was noticeably more subdued from the outset of day one, with individual Micron Price Guides (MPGs) for Merino fleece wool falling 4 44 cents.
The only exception was the 17 micron MPG in the South, which gained four cents, and the 20 and 21 micron MPGs . . .
