A much improved Honda Hornets came out of the blocks to take an early lead 3-0 halfway through the first half before Hope Kehoe-Fernando and Jamyn Cleary crossed to take it to three-ll.
The scoring was shared by both sides for the next period with Nathan Thurston putting the ball down for a 4-3 Hornets lead however . . .
