AFTER two surveys and some serious consideration, Coonamble Shire Council have elected to keep the main street wheel stops.
The results of the two surveys conducted since November 2022 were presented to councillors at the most recent meeting on Wednesday 13 April.
The results showed emphatic support in favour of keeping the stops.
The misleading first survey which also included parking arrangements showed that 63% of respondents were in favour of keeping the stops.
In the simpler "yes or no" survey, 75% of respondents supported the stops.
